Upper Wharfedale Bus CIC
NYCC have notified Upper Wharfedale Bus CIC that their bid to run the 72 Buckden - Grassington bus service has been successful. There will now follow a two week review period, following which a formal offer to contract will be made, assuming that the decision is not challenged,
The service, which will start on 11th April, is planned to run three times per day in each direction on school days (when it will be supplemented by an NYCC provided service) and five times per day on Saturdays and school holidays. Most buses will connect with the Grassington / Skipton bus at Grassington, but UWB expect to run one bus per day through to Skipton.
There is a great deal to do to get the service operating by April including recruitment and training of the paid staff and volunteers, for both driving and administration.
Please visit the Upper Wharfedale Bus CIC for further information.
